Berglind Ósk Bergsdóttir is a computer scientist and activist who fights for freedom of expression and works to promote free software and culture. She’s a software developer for the fair play music service, gogoyoko. Working for gogoyoko allows her to combine her programming skills, love for music, and interest in new digital alternatives for artists. In her spare time Berglind works with various activist projects. She’s an affiliate for Creative Commons Iceland, member of FSFÍ (Iceland Digital Freedom Society) and one of the founders and active members of Hakkavélin, Iceland’s first hackerspace. She has also worked towards rethinking media regulation for the digital age with IMMI (International Modern Media Institute).
