Sigga Heimis is an industrial designer. She studied at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy and got her MFA from Domus Academy in the same city. After her graduation she founded her own design company; Hugvit & Hönnun in Iceland. In 2000 she moved to Sweden to work as a designer in the head quarters of IKEA. Apart from designing over 300 products during her years at IKEA, she also coordinated all collaborations between design schools worldwide and the company. In 2008 she started to work as Design manager at Fritz Hansen in Denmark where she worked with design strategy and product development. In year 2010 she founded her own studio in Sweden and today runs her business in both Iceland and Sweden.
