Xavier Troussard is currently the Director for The Direction Culture & Media of the Directorate general Education and Culture at the European Commission. Acting Director of Culture, Multilingualism and Communication.

Troussard’s main roles include negotiation, on behalf of the European Communiton, on the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions, promotion of cultural diversity in EU external relations and in international fora.
